Cooking Lessons
Cooking classes are a great way to discover the techniques behind Italy’s famous cuisine. The Carmine Estate Chef will help you prepare an authentic three course Umbrian meal with the focus on participation and education. Afterwards, while the chef puts the finishing touches to the meal, guests can enjoy a tasty selection of locally sourced sliced Umbrian cured meats and cheeses with an aperitivo, a glass of our Estate wine, the true Italian way to begin a meal. Participants will then enjoy their meal downstairs at Vineria del Carmine and taste a selection of our wines, matched by our sommelier to each dish.
Our cooking classes are designed for 2 to 14 participants and take place in the state of the art Demanincor kitchen above our cellar door at Vineria del Carmine. Guests will leave having learnt new cooking techniques, with their recipe notes, and having enjoyed a glass of the award winning Carmine Estate wines matched to each dish. All participants will also be provided with a Chiesa del Carmine apron, one of our cork screws and a 100ml bottle of our Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil. The duration of each class is approximately two and a half hours. At the conclusion of the class you will be able to enjoy the food you have created. Children are welcome to participate in the cooking class.
Courses are flexible and the menu can be adapted to suit guest’s dietary requirements and learning preferences.

Meet our chef at Vineria del Carmine and enjoy coffee or wine & snack to start. After that, discussion of the program of the cooking class.

The cooking class will take place in our state of the art DeManincor kitchen. In this class, you will enrich your cooking skills by learning typical Umbrian dishes with a focus on fresh pasta. You learn how to make Italian traditional shapes of pasta and also pasta with fillings and appropriate sauces for each type. To conclude participants will learn how to make our modern take on the traditional Italian desserts. Our chef will conduct this hands-on class and answer all your questions on Umbrian food. During the class we will serve finger food and wine, because cooking makes you hungry!

Starting price €520 (1 to 4 people)
Each additional person €130 per person (from 4 to 6 adults)
€120 per person from 7 to 14 adults
€55 for people only enjoying the meal afterwards downstairs in the Vineria and not participating in the class
*For the night program we charge an extra fixed fee of €500 (maximum 10 participants) and €750 maximum 14 participants for the exclusivity of the venue
