Restoration
The property has been immaculately and lovingly restored with a perfect combination of quaint historical detail and all the mod-cons you need.
Chiesa del Carmine and the Carmine Estate was purchased in 2009 and has been lovingly restored by the owners and their architect, Irma de Arrascaeta. The church turned out to be much taller than first expected, as the earth had built up around it over the centuries. It was completely overgrown, as was the farmhouse. As you can see in the photos below, what is now the kitchen and dining room attached to the church were a series of ruined outhouses.
